Illinois Governor's Race: Rauner Defeats Quinn
CHICAGO (CBS) -- GOP businessman Bruce Rauner has defeated Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, dealing a huge blow to Democrats in the home state of Barack Obama, who campaigned vigorously for Quinn.
Around 9:30 p.m., the latest expanded exit polls from CBS 2, projected Bruce Rauner winning by three points.

At 10:30 p.m., Rauner's actual vote totals were better than that, as he held a five point margin with 90 percent of the vote counted.
