Hurricane Harvey Will Drive Up Gas Prices Here

(CBS) -- If you think Hurricane Harvey won't affect the Midwest, think again.

Gas prices are going up because of the storm that is battering the coast of Texas.

"If the Gulf Coast refineries are shut down for a significant amount of time, refineries here in Chicago could start to send gasoline south, and that could mean prices go up here because there's less supply."

That could mean a gallon of regular-grade gasoline could exceed $3 for the first time in two years.
