Severe storms displace some Huntley residents
CHICAGO (CBS)-- Huntley residents are waking up to widespread storm damage after tornadoes touched down across the Chicago area Wednesday night.
Strong winds downed massive trees that are being removed Thursday morning. The National Weather Service plans to survey the damage in the area later in the morning.

A four-unit apartment complex was damaged by the debris. Families were displaced and power remains down for many others.
CBS 2's Sara Machi said roofing materials were lodged into the ground.
"...the roof got ripped off the upstairs, they had no basement to go to," A neighbor told CBS 2. "I feel so bad for them. They were pretty shaken up."
I just tried in our 6:30 liveshot for @cbschicago to dislodge some roof debris in Huntley without any luck.
