Hospital ERs Prepare For Over Drinking At Lollapalooza

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Grant Park will be packed during Lollapalooza next week, along with the emergency room at Lurie Children's Hospital.

Dr. Robert Tan at Lurie says the number of under aged and over served patients is so large that staff members held a drill today to practice handling the influx of people.

However, by far, he says, alcohol is the biggest problem.

He says over intoxication visits to the ER went up from 2008 to 2014.

That number went down last year, thanks to a public awareness campaign about the dangers of over drinking.
