Pedestrian Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In River North

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A 51-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run driver in River North Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 4:40 a.m. in the 100 block of West Illinois Street, police said.

According to Chicago police, the pedestrian was struck by a green Toyota Camry and the driver fled the scene eastbound on Hubbard.

The victim was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

As of Sunday evening, there was no one in custody, police said.
