Chicago police searching for SUV driver who seriously injured woman in Humboldt Park hit-and-run

Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run crash on Chicago's West Side

Police are searching for the driver on an SUV who hit and seriously injured a 58-year-old woman in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood on Monday night. 

According to Chicago police, the woman was walking on the side of the street, in the 500 block of North Pulaski Road, when she was hit by a car around 10:50 p.m.

Police said the victim sustained trauma to her body and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition. 

According to police, the woman was hit by a 2002 Maroon GMC SUV, possibly a Yukon XL, with Illinois license plate DR60795. The driver of the vehicle fled southbound on Pulaski.
