Hirsch High School Pool Back Open For Students, Community

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Starting today, a South Side high school has a new place to learn, reports WBBM's Terry Keshner.

The pool at Hirsch High School at 7740 S. Ingleside Ave. has been dormant for 10 years but now thanks to a partnership with the Chicago Park District, it is back open.

"Open pool here at Hirsch High so it's very exciting," said principal Larry Varn. "It's something that coming on board I wanted to do for our community as well as for our students so I'm excited to see this dream come to reality."
