Man Killed In Harvey Hit-And-Run

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 58-year-old man was killed early Wednesday, when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in south suburban Harvey.

The man was struck near 145th and Halsted around 3:30 a.m., but police said it's unknown what type of vehicle hit him, or which way it was going.

Harey police and Cook County Sheriff's officers blocked off the street for several hours as they investigated.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
