Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Hammer Attacks On Crystal Lake Bike Path

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A man has been charged in connection with a hammer attack on northwest suburban bike path.

On Sept. 24, two women were attacked on the Ridgefield Trace bike path in Crystal Lake. Witnesses said a man jumped out and was swinging a hammer, hitting the women.

Angel Reinaldo-Cardoza was charged with two counts of attempted murder. Police surrounded his home in Woodstock and arrested him.

Both women are expected to both recover.
