Good Thing The Bulls Quickly Cut Andrew Bynum
(CBS) A detailed, enlightening article posted Tuesday on the disarray in the Cleveland Cavaliers' organization by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski included an anecdote on center Andrew Bynum that is rather humorous to outsiders with nothing at stake.
In the story, Wojnarowski writes that Bynum was suspended earlier this season by the Cavs because he "became a disruptive presence" in practices, then backed it up with a specific example.
"Before Bynum was thrown out of his final practice and suspended, he was shooting the ball every time he touched it in a practice scrimmage, sources said – from whatever remote part of the court he had caught the ball," Wojnarowski wrote.
Our take? There's not much to say here besides, "smh."
Bynum was traded to Chicago in January as part of the deal that sent Luol Deng to Cleveland, but he was included only for salary purposes. He was quickly cut before the Bulls had to pay out any of the non-gauranteed money left on his contract.
