Glen Ellyn Police Respond To Man With Gun At Hotel

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police responded Wednesday morning to a report of a man with a gun in west suburban Glen Ellyn.

Officers responded to the Budgetel Inn at 677 Roosevelt Rd. about 6:45 a.m. for a report of a man with a gun fighting with another man, according to Glen Ellyn police.

When they got to the scene, officers saw a man running into nearby Panfish Park, police said. They chased him and saw him throw objects into a pond before he was taken into custody.

The Naperville Police Department's dive team is searching the pond, police said.
