Girl Accidentally Shot By Three-Year-Old Cousin

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A nine-year-old girl was accidentally shot by her three-year-old cousin.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon on the West Side in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the 3-year-old boy found a gun inside a home in the 3200 block of West Fulton Boulevard.

That's according to Chicago Police.

The three-year-old shot the nine-year-old girl in the arm.

The girl's parents took her to Stroger Hospital.

Authorities say her condition was stabilized.
