Girl, 4, Dies After Being Pulled From Gurnee Hotel Pool

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 4-year-old girl died Thursday night, after she was pulled out of a hotel pool in north suburban Gurnee.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the Gurnee Holiday Inn around 8:50 p.m., after receiving a call for a possible drowning.

When crews arrived, they found a 4-year-old girl unresponsive in the pool, and pulled her out. Paramedics performed CPR, and took the girl to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where she later was pronounced dead.

The Lake County Coroner's office said an autopsy was being performed Friday to confirm the cause of death.
