Girl, 17, Shot In The Head In Pilsen
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 17-year-old girl was shot in the head early Wednesday, while she was sitting in a car with her boyfriend in the Pilsen neighborhood.
Police said the girl and her boyfriend were sitting in a car in the 1000 block of West Cullerton Street around 1:45 a.m., when someone approached and fired shots into the vehicle.
The girl was shot in the head, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition. Police said the driver was affiliated with a gang.
The offender fled the scene.
Area Central Detectives were investigating.
