Gary Man Wanted For Beating, Choking Estranged Wife

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Gary man has been charged after he broke into his estranged wife's house and beat her up.

Willie Carter, 28, was charged with two counts each of criminal confinement, battery causing serious bodily injury, residential entry, theft and domestic battery, according to a statement from the Gary Police Department.

The charges stem from a Nov. 1 incident in the 4300 block of West 24th Avenue in Gary, according to the statement.

Carter was not in custody Monday afternoon.
