Gary Airport Gets $3.5 Million Dollar Upgrade

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Some serious money is coming in for a landing at the Gary Chicago Airport in northwest Indiana.

The U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding the facility $3.5 million in grant money to complete repairs to its runway and airfield.

It will help put a cap on an upgrade project that was years in the making.
