Garfield Park Conservatory Pays Homage To Prince

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Garfield Park Conservatory is paying tribute to Prince, creating the musician's symbol in its wishing pond.

The artwork was created using coins found in the pond by Gustav Roman, who works in the Fern Room, said Marie Stringer, the conservatory's development coordinator.

The pond was then dyed purple.

Prince died Thursday at his home in suburban Minneapolis, known as Paisley Park.

The conservatory has recently paid homage to David Bowie, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Chinese New Year and Black History Month.
