Brief break before wintry mix arrives on Saturday in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — A quiet day is ahead in Chicago as another round of snow and ice develops for the weekend.

Friday morning will be breezy as wind chills start in the single digits. Winds relax through the morning as temperatures move through the 20s into the lower 30s.

Saturday brings a messy mix of snow and ice, with freezing rain that will change to snow by evening. Some minor accumulations are expected.

A colder and quiet day is expected on Sunday.
