Chicago Weather: Fog Continues, Temperature Drop, Snow Ahead

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Foggy conditions linger as the Chicago area braces for a temperature drop and potential for some snow on Friday and Saturday.

A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect for Chicago areas until noon Wednesday. Overcast skies continue and temps will drop into the teens tonight.

CBS Chicago is watching the development of a winter storm that could drip rain, ice and snow in the Chicago area on Friday afternoon and into Saturday.

Right now, it does not appear to be as potent as last week's high winds, rain and snow. However, 2 to 4 inches of snow are possible for some areas between Friday and Sunday morning.

A cool down is on the way. Wednesday's temperatures will be in the 40s, but will be dropping to the upper 20s by Thursday.

A wintry mix is expected Friday into Saturday. CBS 2 meteorologists will provide updates.
