Frank Thomas' Former Oak Brook Home Relists For $2.5M

(CBS) The former Oak Brook home of White Sox icon and Hall of Famer Frank Thomas has hit the market for $2.5 million, according to the Tribune and Chicago Curbed.

The 25,000-square-foot house with nine bedrooms was built in 1990s and is part of a lot of more than three acres. Its exterior is a 1990s look, and the home features a basketball court, home gym, beauty salon, bar and home theater, according to Curbed.

Thomas sold the mansion to real estate developer Ronald Scarlato in 2003 for $7.95 million, which is the largest price ever paid in DuPage County for a residence, according to the Tribune. It cost Thomas more than $8 million to build the home, and he originally listed it for $11 million in 2000 before the 2003 sale.

The home has been relisted by Bank of America after a previous auction price wasn't met. The home was foreclosed on earlier this year.
