Four Shot Outside Party In Austin

(STMW) -- Four people were shot outside at a party early Sunday at a park in the West Side Austin neighborhood, including a woman driving by who was struck by the gunfire.

Three men were outside a party in the 5400 block of West Division when an argument began and shots were fired about 3 a.m., police said.

The shooting happened on the same block as Davis Park, where trash from a party and "The Party Is Here" balloons could be seen tied to fenceposts early Sunday.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the armpit and taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. A 33-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the leg and showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition.

A 25-year-old woman driving down Division was also struck in the shoulder by the gunfire and taken in good condition to West Suburban, police said. An SUV with at least one bullet hole to the windshield was parked on that block early Sunday.
