The victims, all males, self-transported themselves to Holy Cross Hospital. Two men, ages 20 and 24, were hospitalized at Holy Cross with injuries from shattered glass. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the arms and was later transferred to Mt. Sinai where his condition stabilized. A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and transferred to Mt. Sinai in critical condition.

The owner of a nearby day care says one bullet pierced the building's door while children were inside, but it did not come close to hitting anyone.

A number of parents expressed their frustration as they picked up their kids.

"The fact that somebody's shooting around these babies, it's unacceptable" said parent Kevin Nieves. "Children could have got hurt. Children could have been killed. We can do better than this."
