Four Shot In Little Village
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Four men were shot late Monday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The men were standing on the sidewalk about 11:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 24th Street, when a male opened fire from a nearby alley, striking each of the men, police said. The shooter then entered a dark-colored sedan, which sped eastbound on 24th Street.
A 26-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, police said.
Also, an 18-year-old man was shot in the buttocks; a 38-year-old man was shot in the right thigh; and another 26-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the head, police said. Those three men were all taken in "stable" condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Police believe the shooting is gang-related, as all four men are self-admitted gang members.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
