Four Injured In Park Ridge Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four people were injured late Wednesday night when two vehicles collided after one ran a red light.

Shortly before 11 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was driving a 2014 Audi north on Cumberland Avenue, when a 1996 Chevy headed east on Devon Avenue at a high rate of speed ran a red light, and struck the Audi, according to a statement from Park Ridge police.

After hitting the Audi, the Chevy struck a tree and light pole, police said. Two passengers -- a 20-year-old man, and an 18-year-old woman -- were ejected from the Chevy. The passengers and driver were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The woman driving the Audi was taken to Presence Resurrection Medical Center. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Further details were not immediately available.
