Food Trucks Return To Daley Plaza Today

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The air might still have a winter chill in Chicago, but it will feel a bit like spring at Daley Plaza this morning, as the city's Food Truck Fests will make their debut for the year.

The weekly Food Truck Fests at Daley Plaza kick off at 11 a.m., featuring 5411 Empanadas, Auntie Vee's, Döner Men, Jack's Fork In The Road, La Cocinita Food Truck Chicago, Mimi's Chicago Humble Pie, PIKO TRUCK, Porkchop, The Cajun Connoisseur Food Truck and Catering, The Happy Lobster Truck, and Yum Dum Truck.

The food trucks have proven a popular attraction for the downtown lunch crowd, offering a wide variety of local cooks.

The festivals run every week at Daley Plaza through the end of October, usually on Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a complete list of dates, click here.

Monthly Food Truck Fests at the Willis Tower begin March 31.

Participating food trucks are announced on social media using the hashtag #Chifoodtruckfest.
