Two Arrested In 24 Hours At Midway After TSA Finds Loaded Guns

(CBS/STMW) -- Two people were arrested since Friday for trying to bring guns into Midway Airport.

On Saturday, A Florida man was arrested with a loaded gun in his briefcase Saturday at Midway International Airport.

Kurt Young, 46, faces one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed firearm at an airport, according to Chicago Police.

The .38-caliber Jennings Bryco 58 handgun was discovered in Young's briefcase through a Transportation Security Administration X-ray machine before the man's scheduled flight to Atlanta, according to police and the TSA.

Young, of Tampa, posted bond and was released, police said. He is next scheduled to appear in court April 24.

On Friday, Candace Burch of Markham was arrested for allegedly trying to bring a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson loaded with six rounds through the airport.
