Flight From Chicago To Kansas City Searched After Bomb Threat
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- An official says an American Airlines flight from Chicago's O'Hare Airport was taken to a remote area at Kansas City International Airport and searched after it landed because of a bomb threat.
Joe McBride, a spokesman for the Kansas City Aviation Department, said Friday that someone made a comment about a bomb, although it wasn't clear if it was one of the 67 passengers on Flight 4222 Thursday night or if it was phoned in.
The passengers and crew disembarked in a remote area of the airport and FBI agents searched the plane.
It was not clear if anything was found or if anyone was arrested.
Airport and airline officials didn't immediately respond to phone requests for comment Friday.
