Flasher On The Loose In Harvey: Police

Listen to Harvey Police Seek Flasher Suspect

(CBS) -- Police in south suburban Harvey are asking the public to help them find a man who has exposed himself and propositioned children in a park adjacent to a local school.

The flasher appeared two evenings last week in the park next to the Holmes School, at 160th Street and Carse Avenue. District 152 spokesman Melvin Caldwell said the man exposed himself both to adults and to children.

Police have beefed up patrols and Caldwell said the school is urging parents not to let children out alone.

In addition, they are urging children to walk immediately and directly to their destination, pay attention to what is happening around them, never to speak with strangers and to tell parents, teachers, the principal or other adults if they see or hear something inappropriate.
