Five Teens Shot In Englewood Drive-By

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police were searching for the gunman responsible for a drive-by shooting that left five teenagers wounded Monday night.

Around 9:40 p.m., three girls and two boys – all 16 or 17 years old – were outside in the 5700 block of South Green Street, when a green minivan pulled up, and someone inside opened fire.

Two 16-year-old boys were shot in the leg. They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

A 17-year-old girl was shot in the chest, another 17-year-old girl was grazed on her abdomen, and a 16-year-old girl was shot in her left foot. All three were being treated at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

No one was in custody early Tuesday, and a motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
