Five Stores Under Strack & Van Til, Ultra Foods Banners To Close In Chicago Area
(CBS) – More than 400 supermarket employees will soon be out of a job, now that Strack & Van Til has announced it will shut down five locations in the Chicago region.
It includes their store on Elston Street, near Logan Square. The supermarkets under the Ultra Foods name will also close on 87th and Kedzie on the South; in Downers Grove; Lombard and Merillville, Ind.
A spokesperson says the stores will shut down by April 30.
