Fitzgerald: Marshall-Jeffery Duo 'Best In The Game'

(CBS) One of the NFL's best receivers is awed by the counterparts he sees on the Bears.

Arizona wideout Larry Fitzgerald told The Mully and Hanley Show on Thursday that Chicago's Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are the best receiving duo in the league.

"Oh my goodness," Fitzgerald said. "I would say they're the best duo in the game. Alshon and B, those guys are playing so well. Just to see how far Alshon's come in a short period of time, and obviously Brandon's still playing at an elite level. You add Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte to the equation, you have a truly formidable offense that can compete with any defense in the league and score the points they need to."

Jeffery had 89 c atches for 1,421 yards (sixth-most in NFL) and seven touchdowns in 2013, while Marshall had 100 receptions for 1,295 yards (11th-best) and 12 touchdowns, for a combined 2,716 receiving yards. Only Denver's Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker outpaced that total, as they combined for 2,718 receiving yards.
