Firefighters Extinguish Lincoln Park Fire

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Crews worked to put out an apartment fire in the Lincoln Park neighborhood early Wednesday.

The blaze broke out overnight at a three-story apartment building in the 300 block of West Webster Avenue and was upgraded to a still-and-box alarm about 2 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The fire was under control by 2:15 a.m., Fire Media said.

A resident displaced by the fire told reporters at the scene that she did not know of anyone injured in the blaze.

Fire department officials could not be immediately reached for comment early Wednesday.
