Firefighter Injured In South Austin Blaze
(CBS) – It was a close call for one Chicago firefighter Friday afternoon.
The Chicago Fire Department says one of its firefighters was injured during a possible "flashover" as a South Austin apartment building was on fire. The building was on North Lamon Avenue.
The firefighter was taken to an ambulance on a stretcher, but officials said his injuries are not life-threatening. Two other firefighters were treated at the scene.
