Fire spreads to 3 houses in west Chicago suburb

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Firefighters responded to a house fire in Elmwood Park Thursday morning. 

The fire broke out at a home that was under construction at 2920 73rd Court. Elmwood Park officials confirmed damage was reported on both houses next to the fire. 

Firefighters found smoke billowing from the second floor of the home. 

No injuries were reported. 

Dep. Chief Kevin Flaherty said neighbors assisted with the evacuation of the homes. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
