Fire, Rapids Play To 0-0 Tie

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Chicago's Juan Luis Anangono pushed a header wide in the 76th minute and the Fire settled for a 0-0 tie with the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night.

Anangono broke free of Colorado defender Shane O'Neill and goalkeeper John Berner couldn't recover in time to defend his goal. But with a wide open net. Anangono's header went just outside the left post.

Chicago (2-3-8) had its MLS-leading eighth tie.

Dillon Serna hit the crossbar in the final seconds of added time for Colorado (6-4-4).

The Rapids had their two-game winning streak snapped. They have three scoreless ties.
