Man pulled from Lake Michigan at Chicago's Foster Avenue Beach

Man rescued from Lake Michigan off Foster Beach in Chicago

A man was rescued from Lake Michigan off Chicago's Foster Avenue Beach on Monday night, police said. 

Around 5:30 p.m., the Chicago Police Department said a man who was unresponsive was pulled from the water in the 5200 block of North Lake Shore Drive. 

Police said the man was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. His identity and age have not been released. 

The circumstances leading up to the water rescue are unknown at this time. 

Area three detectives are investigating.
