1 dead after fiery crash near 63rd Street beach
A man is dead after a fiery crash near 63rd Street beach on Thursday night.
Chicago police said a car crashed into a median in the 6300 block of South Coast Guard Drive just before midnight. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
Video from the scene shows the car engulfed in heavy flames.
Police said the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
Major Accident detectives are investigating the cause of the crash.
