Female Sexually Assaulted In Her Schaumburg Home: Police

(CBS) -- A man broke into a northwest suburban Schaumburg residence Sunday and groped a female as she slept, police said.

About 3:25 a.m., police responded to a call of a criminal sexual assault in the 2700 block of Odlum Drive, according to a statement from Schaumburg police. The suspect broke into the residence and "groped" the female as she slept.

The female woke up to the suspect groping her, prompting him to run away, police said.

He was described as a 25 to 35-year-old Hispanic man, about 5-foot-5, with short, "buzz-cut" hair, short facial hair and a medium build, police said. He was wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and blue and white pajama-style pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Schaumburg Police Department Investigations Unit at (847) 882-3534.
