Feds Offer $10,000 Reward Following Armed Bank Robbery In Oak Lawn

(STMW) -- Two masked men robbed a southwest suburban bank Thursday morning, holding customers and employees at gunpoint until their demands for cash were met.

The men entered the US Bank branch at 10270 S. Central Ave. in Oak Lawn about 9:30 a.m., according to the FBI.

The first suspect held bank employees and customers at gunpoint in the lobby, while the second suspect forced an employee to open the vault.

The men got away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI. No one was hurt.

The suspects are described as two black men 20-30 years old, according to the FBI. The first was about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot and wearing a black hoodie; the second was about 5-foot-8 and wearing a blue hoodie.

Both should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information should call the FBI's Chicago office at (312) 421-6700. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered.
