FBI Offers $5,000 Reward In Noble Horse Theatre Arson

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The FBI has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the animal rights extremist or extremists who set fire to several carriages at an historic stable in the Old Town neighborhood in February.

Thirteen horse drawn carriages at Noble Horse Theatre were destroyed in the fire on Feb. 6. They were worth $10,000 each.

The FBI said the fire also caused significant damage inside the carriage storage area; and spray-painted on a couple inside walls were the words "freedom" and "save the horses."

The agency said such graffiti typically is the work of animal rights extremists.

Anyone with information should contact their local police, or the Chicago FBI office at (312) 421-6700.
