FBI Offering $5,000 Reward For Info On "Pick-A-Logo Bandit"
CHICAGO (STMW) -- The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information about a man they've dubbed the "Pick-a-Logo Bandit," responsible for three bank robberies since November.
The robber earned his name by wearing a different jacket in each robbery, each with a different logo on the front, according to the FBI.
The bandit first struck at the U.S. Bank branch at 3525 W. 63rd St. about 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 28, 2014, according the FBI. He entered the bank, approached an employee to demand money and lifted his jacket to imply he had a weapon underneath.
He robbed the same bank on Jan. 3, this time lifting his jacket to reveal a handgun tucked in his waistband, the FBI said.
His most recent heist occurred last month in southwest suburban Hometown, according to the FBI. He entered the U.S. Bank branch at 4062 Southwest Hwy., took a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at an employee while demanding money.
Witnesses have described the Pick-a-Logo Bandit as a 25-30-year-old black man about 6 feet tall with a thin build, according to the FBI. He has worn a variety of hats and jackets during the robberies.
A reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to his identification and arrest, the FBI said. Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
