FBI investigating armed bank robbery in Naperville

Bank of America robbed in Naperville

The FBI and police in west suburban Naperville were investigating an armed robbery at a Bank of America branch on Friday morning.

The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Bank of America near the intersection of 75th Street and Route 59.

An FBI spokesperson said a man wearing a dark puffy hooded coat, dark gloves, and surgical mask, and carrying a red folder walked into the bank and demanded money at gunpoint.

The robber fled the scene in a silver Nissan sedan missing a hubcap on the rear passenger side wheel.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the FBI at at 312-421-6700 or to submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. All tips can remain anonymous.
