FBI Announces $10K Reward For Info On Noble Horse Theatre Arson
CHICAGO (STMW) -- The FBI announced Wednesday the reward for information leading to an arrest in an arson fire at the Noble Horse Theatre on the North Side last year has been increased to $10,000.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at the stable at 1410 N. Orleans at 1:10 a.m. on Feb. 6, 2015, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. No horses were injured in the fire.
Fires had been set in two separate horse carriage areas, and the words "SAVE THE HORSES" and "FREEDOM" were spray-painted on two walls inside the theater, according to the FBI.
Thirteen horse carriages—worth about $130,000—were destroyed, and the building was significantly damaged.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire was arson.
The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
According to its website, the North Side theater stages theatrical performances of plays featuring horses and has the capacity to stable up to 50 animals.
