Fatal crash disrupts traffic on I-57 in south Chicago suburbs
MARKHAM, Ill. (CBS) -- At least one person was killed in a crash on I-57 in the south suburbs Wednesday night.
The crash happened on the northbound side of the expressway south of 159th Street and close to Pulaski Road, according to Illinois State Police.
State police confirmed the crash was fatal, and a medical helicopter was called to the scene.
Northbound traffic was directed off I-57 at 167th Street, and extended lane closures were expected.
