Fans Relish Cubs' National League Championship Win

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The morning after the Cubs won the National League Championship Series, fans were seen outside Wrigley Field on Sunday taking photos with newspapers commemorating the win.

On Saturday night, thousands rushed outside from the stadium and in bars as the marquee changed to mark the special occasion, CBS 2's Lauren Victory reports.

Fans were elated. Asked why he's a Cubs fan, one man said someone asked him years ago and he replied, "It builds character."

"I just want to shout out to my mom and my dad for raising me as a Cubs fan," shouted another excited fan.

Clean-up crews quickly sweeped up after fans left the premises, but fans had to be kicked out at 2 a.m., because they were still celebrating.
