Woman Shot While Sleeping In Englewood Home

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman was shot while she was sleeping early Sunday at her home in the Englewood neighborhood.

Police said the 23-year-old woman was asleep around 1:30 a.m., when someone fired several shots into her home near 62nd and Normal.

She was shot in the ankle, and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

Five other people were in the house at the time, but were not injured.

No one was in custody Sunday morning.

Area South detectives were investigating.
