Endless Appetizers At TGI Fridays! (Remember To Eat Responsibly)

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- I had this job once with Time Life Books.

I was an entry-level fact checker for the "Mysteries Of The Unknown" series. Specifically, I was given a pile of research for the book "Mind Over Matter."

It had to do with the sheer will of fire walkers and people who could levitate.

A lot of it was impressive feats of mental prowess.

None of it could compare to what Caity Weaver of Gawker just accomplished.

14 Hours. TGI Fridays. Endless Cheese Sticks.

This is her story.

Earlier this month, TGI Friday's came up with a crazy promotion: A patron could order one appetizer for $10 and eat as many has she/he wanted.

The legal disclaimer: Buy one appetizer at $10 each (per person) and get free refills on same appetizer. Valid on select items only. At participating restaurants for a limited time. Dine-in only. One offer per person, per visit. Not valid in conjunction with any other coupon, promotion or discount. While supplies last. Tax and gratuity not included. © 2014 TGI Friday's Inc. Please drink responsibly.

Per serving, the potato skins are the least, um, healthful: 1430 calories, 78 grams of fat, but, hey, 22 grams of fiber!

Surprisingly, the green bean fries are rather high in calories and fat, but super high in fiber.

But who would order endless piles of those?
