Emanuel: Closing Clark, Addison On Cubs Game Days 'Not Going To Happen'

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Away from Wrigley Field, a battle is brewing over the safety around the ballpark.

Because of recent terror attacks, Congressman Mike Quigley wants streets around Wrigley closed on Cubs game days.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says Quigley has struck out at the plate.

"My view about closing Clark and Addison: That's a swing and a miss," Emanuel said. "Not going to happen, not the right way to do it. You can't close down that thoroughfare but we're going to accomplish all of the safety and security people need."
