Elmhurst Police Release Sketches Of Child Luring Suspect

(CBS) -- Elmhurst police have released two composite sketches of a suspect wanted in connection with a child luring attempt last Saturday.

Police say that the suspect was driving an older model white Ford SUV with rust along the bottom when he approached three juveniles, ages 5 through 11, who were walking in the area of Third Street and Clinton Avenue and asked them if they wanted some candy. The kids ran away to a nearby friend's residence.

The suspect is described as a man approximately 40 years old of medium build and short dark hair, possibly with a mustache, police said.

The description matches that of a suspect and vehicle in another child luring investigation in the area of Fremont Avenue and Ridgeland Avenue in Elmhurst on Oct. 18.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Division of the Elmhurst Police Department at (630) 530-3050.
