Elderly Woman Killed By Car In Villa Park Parking Lot
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 92-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot Friday evening in west suburban Villa Park, police said.
Emergency crews responded at 7:53 p.m. to the collision in the lot in the 400 block of West St. Charles Road, according to Villa Park police.
The woman, a Villa Park resident, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she later died, police said. The DuPage County coroner's office could not immediately be reached for more details.
The 73-year-old Chicago driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, police said. Anyone who saw the crash should call detectives at (630) 592-6117.
